A beautiful piece of a fine ceramic art of a young boy and girl with arms draped around each other while reading a book. By Bing and Grondahl, a Danish firm that has been making piece of porcelain art since the 1800's, this figurine was designed by Ingeborg Plockross Irminger and is a delightful piece with detail and muted browns, blues and cream colors. The bottom is stamped with the B&G Hallmark Denmark 1567 BO.
It measures approximately 3 1/2" high by 3 1/2" wide and deep. It is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or scratches. The glaze is clear and bright throughout.
A wonderful piece that warms one's heart and brightens one's day.
