From the intermediate world, a spirit tries to communicate a secret word (object) to the living. In Ghost Writer, players slip into the role of either a spirit or a medium - so they either try to communicate a word or guess one. They compete against each other in two teams. In each team there is exactly one ghost and up to three media. In each game of Ghost Writer there is a secret word (the object you are looking for) that is known only to the two ghosts. They want to help their media guess this object first. To do this, the media of the teams play question cards one after the other, to which the ghosts then answer. But not verbal, but in writing, letter by letter. In the midst of a word, the media--once they have an idea of what the mind wants to tell them--can interrupt communication at any time so as not to betray too much to the opposing team that does not know the question. The team that guesses the term correctly first wins!
